To celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori we delve into the remarkable life of George Clendon, who was a fluent native speaker of te reo Māori, as was common for many Rāwene residents of the time. He worked as a licensed Native Interpreter and translator in the Hokianga Harbour.
